Red, White, and Dresden

Once again, still on this Dresden kick.  I continue to have this illness. (Still can't quit scheming) I made this one and its almost finished twin for my father for Father's Day coming up.  And what do Dads like to do (well at least mine) take a nap.  I am making him twin Dresden pillows for the couch so he can get comfy for his afternoon shut eye.

I used American Banner Rose material from Moda.

I decided to do a little something different than that of the 1/4" quilting.   I free motioned some stripes and stars with the machine.

And then finished it up with a few hand-quilted wonky stars.  I hope he likes them.

I also had to share some of my flowers with you.  This is a white Clematis vine that just started blooming in the yard.  I love it's showy white and purple blooms.

The lovely places I link to.....
