Spring Bea Quilt Finish

I actually finished my first quilt of the year.  Yeah!!  It was from the Beaquilters quiltquilt a long.  Forgive me, I took a bunch of pictures.  The weather has been absolutely gorgeous.  Finally, we have some spring weather and it is a great time to get outside and take a few pictures.

EQ 7 Blog Hop - Blanket Flower, Tutorial and Giveaway

 chick block2

Thanks again to Bea for putting together this lovely hop and to EQ for generously sponsoring a little giveaway.  Without further ado, here is tutorial number 2.
I love the spring and summer, so much is a buzzing and humming around the yard.  And of course I love flowers, so this is what I created for Bea's Hop.

EQ7 Dragonfly Pattern, Tutorial and Giveaway

chick block2

Let's just say I am a newbie to EQ7, but I really have been enjoying playing with it the last three months. I think it is always wise, (if you choose to get the program, which I love), to watch the videos. They have helped me tremendously, that and finding someone who can show you a few tricks. I was lucky and found Bea at Beaquilter. She has a running tutorial every Tuesday that has helped me tremendously. Now, on to my block and how I worked it all up.  Here is my finished block in EQ7........

Works in Progress 4-17

I have been trying to get a little sewing done around here and the weather has totally wanted to cooperate with me.  Thank goodness!  It snowed a little less than a foot yesterday and we are expecting more.  While, this is a little abnormal at this time, we really need the moisture and I get to sew, so no complaints.

Honeycomb Pillow Finish

Honeycomb Stitch-Along

I posted a few weeks back my progress on my Honeycomb Stitch-Along pillow.  Jenelle at Echinops and Aster designed a gorgeous pillow that I fell in love with the moment I laid eyes on it.  She has great photos with each and every step.  It was the first time that I had done Hexies or needle turn applique.  After following her tutorials, I didn't feel so intimidated.  So after a few more hours sewing the past few days,  I finished it all up.  And can I say, I think it is one of my absolute favorite finishes.
