What's Been Happening at the Hive...

With the big spring snowfall we received this weekend, I was busy as a bee.    Old Man Winter forgot to check his e-mails that said "It's Spring," or he wanted me to catch-up on some sewing projects.  I finished Part 4 of Bea at Beaquilters quilt-a-long.  They are cute little 4.5" blocks.  I have not made any that small before.

Mark them off as a first.  Then, after finishing them all up, I decided that I was really loving Jenelle's Honeycomb Stitch-A-Long.  I just figured that there was no way that I would be able to finish with her schedule.  I printed off the pattern and went to work on Saturday and.....

I am proud to say that it is my first Hexi project.  I can see why they are addicting.

I decided to hand applique them all down (another first).  And now my fingers are paying the price. I was only wearing a band aid (or two) to finish them up.  "No Pain No Gain" as they say.

I finished up until she post the nest part to her stitch-a-long.

I am pretty much in love with Comma from Moda, so you can guess what I decided to use.

That's the buzz at my hive....
