Tweet Dreams

The challenge for this week was Wish Upon a Star.  Anything with a star, just as long as you use your imagination.  I wanted to try out some new thread.  Glow in the Dark thread by Coats and Clark to be exact.  I had picked up the thread for another project, but I thought how cute it would be to have something quilted that the kids would enjoy when the lights go out.  So Tweet Dreams was born....  I drew out the birds and leaves.  The rest is all a bunch of scrap pieces from my stash.

Hugs and Kisses XOXOXOXO Hop

I can honestly say I love holidays.  It is such a great pleasure to be able to spend time with the ones that you love and shower them with hugs, kisses, and of course love.  So, when the Hugs and Kisses Blog Hop was available, I hopped on over and signed up for it.

I have a confession before I show off my creation.  I was a bad girl  and a very special couple didn't get a Christmas present from us this last year.  I gave them an IOU of sorts.  (Yes, I know I am terrible, but you know the old saying better late than never. Right?)  I just wasn't quite sure what to give them.  Then an idea struck me, what do people who are grandparents love more than anything.  Any guesses? ....................

Spring Fever

Has anyone else been following

Project QUILTING Season 4

the Project Quilting Challenge at Persimon Dreams.  I have been on the side lines for the last two challenges.  Life just seems to get too busy and quilting ends up being set on the back burner.  I looked up the challenge on Friday night.  It was to use an artists work as inspiration.  I followed the link to Annie Young Arts.  I was stunned to find out that she is a blind artist.  Her works are completely inspiring.  I love her use of color, so bold and vibrant.  I thought I would set to work early Saturday and use some of her inspiring works to use on fabric. I personally love flowers.  It really doesn't matter what the kind.  I have an over abundance in my yard.  I thin them out each year to make room for a new species.  I love each one of them.   So with inspiration from Annie and my own yard, this is what I finished up.....
