The Great Outdoors Blog Hop with Island Batik

Months ago, all the Island Batik Ambassadors
received their first box of the year.
Inside that box, we all had a surprise
fabric that we had to keep quiet until
our day of the hop arrived.

Well, for me that day is today!!

In my box, I had a perfect collection
for this hop.

What goes better in the Great Outdoors,
than a Safari?
There is a total of  21 prints,
from snakes to giraffes, and leopards to zebras.
Such a fun collection to play with.
You can see the full collection
right HERE.

The pattern I used for
the quilt is my own.

I call it Safari Friends.
It measures at 44" square.
It was a fun mix of piecing
and of course my favorite applique.

The fun little animal silhouettes work
so well with the vibrant prints.
The closest that I could get to
taking a photo out on safari
was a pretty little grassy area.

The sunset made for a beautiful
stained glass look.
It has to be one of my favorite
pictures.
A perfect time to snap a picture!

A big thank you to

for providing the gorgeous fabrics to this quilt.
That is why it is great to be a
