Flower Power Pillow

If you have any girls, big or small in your life, have I got the pillow for you.  It is made from (of course) Lily's Sugar and Cream yarn.  I found the pillow picture from Attic 24 on Pinterest and fell in love.  It was the perfect pillow for all the gals in my life.  It took a bit to find the original pattern and here it is:  Pretty Petals Potholder. To make the pillow, you just keep adding 15 stitches per row instead of stopping at the original potholder size.  Since the pattern called for a much smaller yarn and a different size hook, I had to change a few things.    I used a G hook and 10 different colored skeins of yarn.  I did end up with a little left over.   If you need any help with the pattern, don't be afraid to ask.  I will try and help you out.

This is the backside of the pillow.  I think it is quite pretty also.  I crochet opposite colors, so I used the yarn a little more economically, and didn't have to buy anymore.

Because of the warm receiving reception of the pillow, you will probably be stuck with seeing a few more of these blooming beauties.

Give it a try.  You will looooovvvveeee the results.  If you would like to enter my first giveaway go here, you have until Friday.

  2. I love the pillows, the colors, and your idea coming from a potholder. There are a lot of potholder patterns out there that I like, but I do not usally do the potholders. Now I am looking at them in a whole different light, thanks to you.

  9. I love rainbow things! What a great pillow (and so clever to use the yarn in reverse for the back to make it all work out in the end). The colors are so bright. I'll bet it is well loved! What a really great finish! Thanks for linking up!

  11. Amy,

I love this pillow and want to add it to my living room pillows. How did you make the back, did you just double the DC per round? I appreciate your help so I can get this started before I go on vacation. I think it will be a great take along.

    1. I did just double crochet on the back adding the fifteen stitches per row like the front. If you have anymore questions, I will be happy to help.
