Do you ever just look at a pattern and think
"Oh, I have got to make that one?"
Well, that's a crazy question.
I think as quilters, we
are always wanting to make
quilts that are so eye appealing.
When I set my eyes on
the newest pattern from the
I knew that I wanted to join in
on all of the fun.
This one is called
Fat Eighth Fruitcake.
A fun mix of hearts, flowers
and vintage.
You can find the quilt kit
for the above quilt HERE.
For my version,
I chose the fabric collection
Vintage Adventure by
Beverly McCullough for Riley Blake.
You can find the collection HERE.
I absolutely love the fun vintage prints,
but I also know that my
husband love the old canned ham
style campers.
Well, since he had been begging
(Yes, I am completely serious)
for a quilt for our bed.
I thought this pattern was
the one.
Since each corner of the blocks reminded
me of a heart, I though what more of a perfect quilt to
have upon our bed.
A quilt with love!
Plus, I hadn't made a quilt for
our bed.
(Don't you just love these prints?)
Well, the pattern made a nice sized quilt,
but if you double the size,
it makes a fabulous oversized queen quilt.
All 102" square of it!?!
It is absolutely enormous and gorgeous,
and way more than me and my ole
machine could handle.
Don't you just love it?
It is sent away to the my longarm
quilter to make it all gorgeous.
I was hopeful that it would have
returned before the hop,
but it didn't quite make it back yet.
(I can't wait to show it to you all when it
is all quilted up.)
Stop in at the Jolly Jabber
to see other colorways
and quilters make this beauty.
I am so looking forward to
be snuggled under this very soon.
Oh it is gorgeous, and as soon as I started seeing them I had to go and check out each and everybody's post.
ReplyDeleteWow, this is gorgeous! It does remind you of hearts in the corners!
