And currently I can't get enough oranges, pinks, aqua and greens...and maybe some purple, indigo, and chocolate ....with some yellows, golds, and rust....Who am I kidding? I LOVE them ALL!

Her fabric reminds me of when my sis and I were two little girls who were supposed to be napping in the double bed we shared. Instead, we stayed awake making up stories and singing as we examined all the different fabric scraps of the Grandmother's Flower Garden quilt our own grandma quilted.

ReplyDeleteI have a soft spot for Ambleside as my great-grandfather's company built several streets in our city and one of them was Ambleside Avenue. My Mum and her brothers lived in this street as children then moved to a larger house in one of the neighbouring streets. I like to imagine that there was wallpaper like the Eyelet Roses print in their house.
