One Hump or Two? and An Announcement

Ahh, Just One!
Well, I have been working on this little
cutie.

Love those lips and her painted toes.

I am working Sophie the Squirrel.
The little antlers make
me laugh.

Brooke Nolan has these
cross-stitch patterns that
are free of charge.  I omitted
the number on the patterns.

If you recall, I am going to make them into
cute little ornaments.
Like these furry friends.

I best get busy because I am super
behind.

Sew, I bet you wondering

Eclectic Elements Blog Hop

 Welcome to my
stop on the Eclectic Elements Blog Hop.

I absolutely love the work that
Tim Holtz does.
All the fun scrap booking elements
and of course this great fabric.

Since the fabric I found,
 definitely looks guyish,
I decided to make
a shaving travel bag.

Love both prints.
A fun and functional project.
(I am still working on the pattern)

I also bought myself an Accuquilt
Isosceles Triangle die
and it showed up a few days ago.

I didn't have time to finish up a
whole project,
but I was totally enjoying
playing with the fabrics and
the new die.
Accuquilt does have a bunch of
their dies on sale.

Not sure exactly what the plan
is for this.
I might have to whip up a
fun pillow for one of my fellas.
Or it might end up as a lap quit.
Who knows..

Go check out the other hoppers.

What Glitters?

Did you ever wonder
what would happen if
you let a teenager loose
with Mod Podge
and some glitter?

Aren't they so much fun?
I can always use a little glitter
in my life.

I bought some wood letters,
spray painted them,
and gave my teen the go ahead.
With a coat of Mod Podge,
and the sparkly stuff,
she created these.

I love the bling.
"SEW" Pretty
I guess being a little daring
paid off.

We Support You Hop

Welcome to my day of the
We Support You Hop.
I personally have had someone
very close to me have cancer,
 in just a few days
it is the 10th anniversary of my
Grandmother's last day of battling lung cancer.
I pray that there will be a
cure.
I thought a lot about this
hop and how I could represent
my grandmother.
She was an absolute gem
and dearly miss being able to talk to her
face to face.
My grandmother never had a clothes dryer,
while I was growing up.
So, all of her clothes were hanging
out on the line in the summer breeze.
Even her unmentionables.
I never recalled grandma
having a number like this on
the line, but she would have
laughed at it.
And probably would have said, "Oh, my."

I had to add more on that
line.

I lost an uncle a few years
after my grandmother to the
same disease.
So, to represent all the
fellas out there that are fighting for their
life, I added a little pair of boxers to
the line.

I thought I would show you just how
small the little bra and undies are.
I took the pattern and made it
25% of the original.

I used Aurifil 12 wt. thread
to crochet lace around both the undies
and the bra.  It worked perfectly around the
edge.

Go and check out the others
who are there to offer their support.
