The challenge for this week was Wish Upon a Star. Anything with a star, just as long as you use your imagination. I wanted to try out some new thread. Glow in the Dark thread by Coats and Clark to be exact. I had picked up the thread for another project, but I thought how cute it would be to have something quilted that the kids would enjoy when the lights go out. So Tweet Dreams was born.... I drew out the birds and leaves. The rest is all a bunch of scrap pieces from my stash.
I tried to add a bit of fiber to the nest. A few bits and pieces of brown yarn, I had in my stash. I really liked the added texture to the nest.

Watchful Mommy bird
Daddy bird in the night sky.
He is sky writting. Tweet dreams to the little ones. So, there it is all finished up. The star and the tweet dreams is all quilted with the glow in the dark thread. It really works. I tried to take a picture, but it didn't give out enough light to see with the camera. The kids love it. I had a fabulous time participating in the fouth challenge at Persimon Dreams. Go and check out the other creations.
Oh my gosh that is so adorable! I love little birds on quilts, and you have used such creativity on yours. I am so glad you commented on my blog so I could track back to yours and see this. Looking forward to seeing more of your creations.
