Salsa....and No Not Dancing

Between my dad's and our garden
we have had a bumper crop of
tomatoes and chilies,.

Aren't they pretty?

There is nothing like a homegrown tomato.
The last two weekends
I have been canning like a
"Crazy" woman.
I even have a blister
to show for all my great dicing skills.

And what do I have to show for it?

Between both weekends,
Around 45 pints of homemade salsa.

We like our salsa a little
warm, so I just leave the seeds in
the chilies.  We might have enough
to make a few more.
My hubby can eat a jar of
homemade salsa a week.

Have you been taking advantage of
the end of summer/fall harvests?

On a sewing note,

Rush Hour.....

Rush HOUR Schedule
I have decided that the woman
on the button is well....
a lot like me, only a red head.
Since school started,
we have been in a super
huge RUSH
Running here and there,
reports, essays, UGH!!
Well, the best part of my days
is before the
RUSH begins,
Where I wake the Kiddos,
and sometimes you might here a little
WAKEY!! WAKEY!!
from my lips.
I absolutely adored the fabrics from Studio E
that so perfectly and  had
Wakey! Wakey!
on them.
And I really enjoy a good sup of coffee
in the morning.
Sew what perfect fabrics!!

So what did I whip up?
Well First ..
A few placemats to Wake you!!

And a little coffee can help as well!

And for some of those
days when you just would like
to sleep a little longer but can't
you might just need
an extra large dose.
Which I  have been
needing the last couple weeks.

I hope you enjoyed
my stop on the
Rush Hour hop.
Be sure and visit all these
Gals who are
RUSHING AROUND!!

A Day Out with Chihuly and See You in September Winners

We went on an outing
to the Denver Botanic Garden.
They are currently displaying
some of Dale Chihuly glass
artwork amongst the beautiful
garden backdrop.

There was so much to see
between the gorgeous gardens
and the Chihuly glass that resembled nature.
Hope you enjoyed the
walk through the gardens.

Quilty Stitches Finish

I am happy to say that
I am all finished up with
my Quilty Stitches that
was going on at LMS.

It was only supposed to be 16 blocks
but I added the other four to
make it rectangular to fit in the
frame.
 I hadn't cross-stitched in a few
years and I loved the simplicity
and well...
the Quiltiness of it.  I just
couldn't help but to join in.

It has happily
found a wall to hang on
in my sewing room.

I had contemplated adding a little
fabric border around the edge,
but I am just not sure if
I will or not.
Any Suggestions?

See YOU In September (Seriously Already) and Giveaway

SEE you in SEPTEMBER BLOGGERS..

HELLO ALL!!
 I have missed you
all sew much.

Thanks of course to Mdm Samm of Sew We Quilt
and Shari of Living with Purpose

I have been super busy
doing a little remodeling
throughout the WHOLE
summer.

I have painted 4 rooms
inside of our home and painted the complete outside
of our home also.
WAY to much Painting
and not enough sewing.
(I could have shown you pictures of that,
but they are not as fun)

And on top of it all
I was unable to use my
sewing machine,
but in the process I did
A LOT of hand stitching

First, I finished this cute little bib.
I decided to applique the flower
instead of stitching it.

Next, I did a little embroidery on
a Retro Apron.  I think I
am going to have to add
a little ruffle to the edge.
But with only having a sewing
machine for the past week.
It had to wait for my last project.

My Sewing Room Quilt
It is in my very favorite colors.
I absolutely adore
RBD Gingham in Aqua.
Just beautiful.

And here is a little peek of my sewing room
I can't wait to have it all
put together and organized.

I do have my fabric
in order, so
very soon I can
get busy quilting away.
I hope you all
enjoyed my  summer SEWING projects.

You can find all the embroidery patterns, apron,
and bib I used

Around the World Blog Tour

Around The World Blog Tour
If you're new to my blog then welcome.
Over a week ago I was invited by Maria to join in the
 Around the World Blog Tour,
I'm always on the look out for new blogs to follow
so thought this would be fun to take part in.
Maria is a very talented bag and a resent quilt maker.
She made her first quilt testing out my Watkins Star pattern
and well, she has been bitten by the quilting bug.
 Go check her out Here.

As part of the blog tour we have to answer a few questions and
link to a blog for you to take a look at.
If you don't already know the lady
I will introduce you too, you will just love her.

So lets get started.

What am I Working On?

I have several projects in the works.
Some will be revealed in the
See You In September
Blog Hop that starts Sept 3.
Here are a few pics.

When Did You Start Blogging?

I started blogging in March of 2012.
I had entered a Moda Bake Shop contest
'
'
and received honorable mention for this bag.
I then decided that I
loved the quilty community.
I have met some of the most lovely
people blogging.

Why do I create what I do?

I honestly create for two different reasons.

I love a challenge.

First, hexie quilt ( all hand pieced and quilted)
August 2013

First, curved pieced quilt,
June 2014

You get the picture.

And the Second Reason is
I can't sit still.
I like to be busy busy busy.

What do I hope to achieve in the near future?

I would love to write a few
more patterns,
if time allows.  I have
one completed.

http://www.craftsy.com/user/987215/pattern-store

And another that is
being tested.

And I love sharing what I am
working on with all of you. :)

Now that you've read a bit about me I'd like to introduce you to one talented lady.

Joan of Moosestache Quilting, she is very talented.
I love her witty sense of humor and her contagious creativity.
She was one of the first ladies I began following
when I started my blog
and I always enjoy stopping over at her Moose haven.
