So, Are you ready to
join me on a Picnic?
Thanks to our super sponsor Riley Blake Designs
and Peterboro Baskets
I received this lovely little
package weeks ago
filled with
3 yards of laminated cotton.
It was....
Riley Blake's Red Medium Dot laminate.
I have been in a polka dot phase.
Just love them,
Well, since one of our lovely
sponsors is Riley Blake.
I decided to use nothing but
their fabric when creating my Picnic quilt.
I have spent weeks preparing
for the perfect picnic.
Embroidering cute little napkins
with Aunt Martha's Proud to be an American transfer
with Aunt Martha's Proud to be an American transfer
and with a ruffle of course
And what would a picnic be
without a quilt
Sewing with the laminated cotton,
was a breeze and damp grass
won't ever be a problem when this is thrown on it.
won't ever be a problem when this is thrown on it.
So, what did we do for our picnic.....
I decided to let my kiddos
give me the plan,
and it was pie and iced
tea in the backyard with
their best friends.
The weather here has been a
little iffy. It is so hard to plan
anything because of all the flash floods
we have been experiencing.

A slice of homemade Strawberry Rhubarb pie,
(my grandmother's recipe)
the sweet smells of first days of summer break,
sticky fingers and bare feet
It never matters where you have
your picnic, but the memories
you make doing it.
You can find the pattern
to this quilt at
my Craftsy Shop.
