Waving a Flag....

I am always excited to take on a
new challenge and I am so glad that you are
here to join me.
Thanks to
for cheering us all along.

I had absolutely every intention
to make something super
funny, since it is
April Fool's Day.
(So, if you have a trickster in your
life, I gave you fair warning)

I started working on it, but
I just couldn't pull it off.
My heart wasn't in it, so
plans completely changed.

I had a bit of the pretty little stack of
Kona left from
the hop in January,
and you can't waste
beautiful fabric. Right?

After I chose what I was doing (for the second time),
 I added a bit of
hand embroidery.

There is someone very special
in my life that I call
SUNSHINE.
And they are just
that
so,
Here it is
just for my sunshine

I used 12 wt. Aurifil in my machine again.
I just love how it stands out.

I was super fortunate and
received a beautiful flagpole.
An adorable  little song bird,
I absolutely love it!!
It is a lot sturdier than
the other flag poles that I own.

Thank you Flag-Outlet, because of you,
all the neighbors are now jealous!

Check out the other flags
whipping in the wind....

I have a little giveaway going on.
If you love hand embroidery and
Aunt Martha's transfers, than
you should go check it out.
Just hop over HERE.

Barn Raising

I always wanted a barn.
A nice pretty red one with
gardens all around it.
And a pretty little quilt
painted on the side.

Well, I didn't exactly make a red barn,
but I think that this
one turned out
mighty cute
and it will probably be the
closest thing to a barn I will ever have.

It was modeled after Lori Holt's
Barn blocks.
I sew wanted to take part in
that barn raising quilt,
but I just didn't have the time.

Well,
this is all the blocks together.

If you want a chance to catch
up and do a little barn raising
yourself,
where you can find these pretty
little blocks.

Blocks #3 and #4 of Quilty Stitches

I have finished up the next two
cross-stitch blocks with the
If you are new to cross stitch,
this would be great little
sampler to test out.
I fell in love with the little
quilty blocks and continue to
enjoy stitching them up.

Block #3

 Block #4

(Not my favorite)
I think it was my color choice.
I don't color in the sampler that
you print off.   I just throw down
colors and hope for the best.
I also put yellow in the center,
(which was suppose to be blank)
I never can just follow the
directions.

Block # 3 and Block #4

Only 12 more to go.
I am sooooo loving this
and should be a nice addition
to my sewing room
once completed.

If stitching is your passion
you can sign up for a new hop
that is all about stitching.

More Ruffles are headed your way on Monday.
We have a full schedule of great artists that
are all ruffled up.
