Messenger Bag 2.0

Because of my lack for creative names for the design of this bag, it has received the above title.  Maybe one of you can help me with a name for it.  I had made one a few months back that is basically made the same, only I keep trying to perfect the construction to make it as simple as possible.  I can't seem to just make anything twice that is exact.  I guess that makes each unique to itself.

I was up late last night putting the finishing touches on it.  When my eyes started getting blurry, I decided to call it quits and I just had to finish up the strap.

The lady I made it for loved the red, black and white material and I just tried to tie them all together using it.  It turned out a little on the wild side, but quite fun.

Here is the interior.  I had to spice it up and finish it with her favorite material.  I put a magnetic closure in it.  It was my first and I never realized how easy it was to install one.  Simple!

I gave it to her today and she loved it!

Sew, What have you been up to?

  2. Nice to know about the magnetic closure. I've always wondered how those were to work with! I'll consider that for future bags.

    1. It works great and I was a little intimidated at first, but it was soooo simple. Wishing I would have done it sooner!

  21. I'm not much good at naming things. My first thought was "Sunburned Zebra" {as in what is black and white and red all over?}, but with all that pretty fabric and the flowers, it really doesn't work. Messenger Bag 2.0 isn't sounding so bad, now, is it? I love the flowers on the front and the linking fabric is perfect. Great job! Thank you for linking up!
