Apples!!!! Get you Apples Here!!

When going to the craft store, we walk the isles.  The kiddos picking up random how to FREE instruction books on what Mom can make.  We come home with Pig slippers and afghans and a plethora of projects that I know I will never complete (or want to) in my lifetime.  But sometimes, they pick up a cute and fast little something.   The kiddos picked up a flier for little apple dishcloths and so I whipped up a couple.

I made a nice crisp granny smith green apple slice. (My Favorite)

And then a red delicious slice of apple.

I have made a couple sets of these.  They are easy to complete if you can crochet in the round.   I don't think mine will probably ever see a sink of dishwater.  They are too cute to get dirty.   Here is the link so you can make your own.

I bet you were hoping I would have made the pink pig slippers.

The lovely places I link to.....

  1. Cute dishcloths! I am just getting into crochet so these will be perfect for my next project. Don't think the pink pig slippers would have had quite the same appeal!

  3. These are so cute! I went to the link and saved it so I can try to make them. I'm new at crocheting but I can crochet in the round and read simple patterns now. Thanks for crocheting the apples and not the pig slippers. I probably would have passed on that pattern, but I can understand how the kids would have liked them!

    1. Diane,
The pattern is pretty well written. A great one for a beginner! I might just have to make a pair of those pretty pink pig slippers!! LOL! If they beg enough, you will be seeing them.

  4. Oh, how cute. These are so vintage! I remember my grandma had some "decorations" kind of like this hanging on her wall that she said were hot pads and I'm 60!

I'm going to have to go look at the pattern. Actually my DH does the dishes (that don't fit in the dishwasher) since he's retired and he loves the crocheted dishcloths. And I love whimsy!

    1. The four I made all grew legs and headed to the kiddos! They liked them a lot! Barbie might be wearing one as an evening dress!
