It is this beauty.

http://www.fatquartershop.com/a-brilliant-cut-mini-quilt-kit

As some would say,  a girl's best friend.
There example was done in beautiful
So rich and gorgeous.

I chose a slightly different color scheme.

I wasn't quite sure what I had planned for
this mini until I put pieced together
the block.
It was a cinch.

Made piecing the diamond perfection.
I can see using this tool in many other projects

After piecing the diamond,
I fondly recalled a lullaby that
I would sing my babies.

I am sure most of
you can figure out the song.

A Mocking Bird

A Looking Glass

and of course the Billy Goat
or as my husband says "The Old Goat".

It is my Hush Little Baby quilt
with a Brilliant Cut Diamond Ring block
from the Fat Quarter Shop.

The shine for the berry, diamond, mirror and glasses was added by using
iCraft® DECO FOIL™  which you can find here.

EQ Seasons: Row-A-Long The Big Reveal and Giveaways

Today is the big reveal day!

EQ Seasons Row Along

Have been around and check out all the beautiful
rows that are available for free for a short time?

Although summer is my favorite season, for purely selfish reasons (Time Off),
while creating this,
a little saying kept running through my head
Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall
I can't decide which one I love best of all.

So, I decided to make each.

It is my seasons quilt.

It is 12 rows,  9 of which are part of the Row-A-Long.
I threw some different little filler rows in.
(Yes, I am a Rebel.)

It is a over sized twin quilt.

You can definitely see that pretty little pop of
lime DecoFoil on the Flip Flops.
It really picks up the light.

I used the following rows in my quilt.
A few of them, I had to change up just a little.
I can't leave well enough alone.
It give it just a little more touch of  me - "Crazy".

In order,

SPRING

A filler row

SUMMER

Sew Incredibly Crazy - that's me

A filler row

FALL

WINTER

EQ7: Seasons Row-A-Long & Giveaways

Welcome to my day of the

This is the final week to share
the rows that have been created.

I hope that you had a chance to check out
all the previous week's rows.  You can find the schedule here.
Thanks to Maria at Seams To Be Sew.  She has worked hard to get
amazing sponsors for this blog hop.
You can also see some blocks and color inspiration
on
  Facebook and Flickr.

Were you able to figure out what my row is?
I gave a few hints.

I choose Summer, because
it means time to enjoy my family with
absolutely no distractions.
Just the Water and a time or two in the Sand.
(It's hard to find much sand next to water in Colorado.)

This is my row.
SURF and SAND.

A little Waves and Flip Floppin' Fun!
It is relatively easy pieced row
with a little applique.

I have had EQ7 for about three years.
I am no expert at it,
but all the quilts that I complete are
ones that I have drawn up in EQ7 first.
For this, it was no different.
I knew that I wanted water in my
block.  For me it represents fishing trips,
swimming pools and summer vacations.
I just love the water.
When looking through EQ, I notices that the
Monkey Wrench block resembled a wave.

I thought that I would build on a block
that was already in EQ.
First, I added that block in my sketchbook.
Then, I started working away.
I like to go to the coloring option on the block
to see what I need to do to change it around.

I know that the block is close,
but I need to change a few things.

After changing the color on a few areas and adding a line or two,
I ended up with this.

This is close, but I knew that I wanted
to add Flip Flops and change the row
a bit.

That is one the great features of EQ7.
You can edit parts of the block by using the arrow in the upper left corner
and making a box around that area.

In  this picture, I rotated the inner box.
You can manipulate and play with
the blocks that are already in the EQ7 Library.

I could play and manipulate
different blocks and colors for hours.
This is the final block that I created.

It is a mix between piecing and applique.
You can find my FREE Row pattern HERE.
You will have to register on Craftsy in order to get the pattern.

Instead of using applique on the flip flop strap,
I used DecoFoil in Lime.
It adds a bit of bling to the block.

We have a new furry addition to
our family

a rambunctious pointer mix that
is keeping the kids, cats,

He is a bit camera shy.
He was awake but was choosing to
play possum.

 Silly puppy!
He made it to our home
from a shelter.

Of course, I had to make
him feel at home and

Row-A-Long Progress

Have you been following along with the

Here are a few of the rows that I
choose to sew together.

First, I made Marlene Oddie's at Kissed Quilts , dogwood row.
I decided to add a few extra flowers and make it a
cherry tree.  I love being able to sew something that makes it more
ME!!
The flowers were easy to paper piece together and
I love the end result.

Next, a little Red, White, and Blue, from
Doris Rice at The Quilting Queen Online
I am absolutely a sucker for a little
patriotic quilting.
Again, I switched the watermelons
with a few patriotic pinwheels.

Last for this week,
a little bit of Christmas from
Lynn Provencher at Thimblemouse & Spouse

This is my first Row-A-Long and I
love the fact that I used all
of my stash for the blocks
except for the beautiful white and sky blue
which was generously supplied by Northcott Fabrics

Go and check out these rows that will
be available for only a short time.
